Two ~
[Are you worried about Jerry? Having trouble sleeping? Why? He's still here. He's still doing what needs to be doing.
Namely planning a way out of here as best as he can manage.]
It seems like a lot of people haven't been feeling too positive lately. [he looks sympathetic. All the sympathetic.] I'm sorry that I missed the cook-out that was sponsored by Mr. Cage right?
I think that was probably a smart idea. I'm only sorry that I wasn't able to attend. It's the [quick smile] It's the sun.
We don't particularly agree.
Are there any night-time activities that go on that might need one more player? Hell, I have a glove and a ball...I'd love for someone to just toss a baseball around.
[Slight Spam]
[Jerry has been watching and waiting. He's been testing the limits of his significantly reduced powers and now it's time for another test. There's no text, just a command-it's one he only used once with Ed, his minion and the only power he still has on the barge.
The thing is, it may work. It may not.
Come.]

[Spamish]
But he's not as quick about it; there's a hesitation there, a projected question without words. The route he takes is less direct than he would have taken otherwise, but soon enough he's there, knocking.
What's up, Jerry?]
Re: [Spamish]
[He opens the door and studies him seriously before opening the door wider. There are books scattered around the desk, thrown open casually. A few are in French, some are in Arabic-strange languages spread across centuries.]
....Have you eaten yet today?
[Spamish]
You can't really count that shit they give you here as "eating", you need like...five to even come close.
[Translation: he could easily eat.
A head gesture towards the books.]
Research?
Re: [Spamish]
[He looks amused] You have absolutely no idea about.
But this place doesn't compare to any of that.
[He shuts the book quickly] I want to ask if you have been assigned a warden yet.
[Spamish]
[...Whatever makes you feel better about it, Ed.]
You couldn't just ask over the Network?
[But he shrugs.]
Nah, not yet. You?
Re: [Spamish]
Then when he speaks he sounds like a kindly father.]
I think that as long as we are here in a place with people who want to hurt me-people who would deny you-
[Serious look]
I think it's time I begin instructing you a little further if you're willing in some of the abilities that remain to us since apparently-they are diminished here.
I wanted to find out if I had to run it by a warden.
[Spamish]
Oh, I'm willing alright. Definitely.
[Nod nod, all puppy levels of eagerness.]
But there's...not much that they left. Aside from the gremlin-on-steroids thing.
[Which is really more question than complaint; he assumes you know more about this than he does, and his knowledge on what he should be able to to is...more than slightly incomplete.]
Re: [Spamish]
Remind me if we covered shapeshifting or not.
[He doesn't like to reveal the shape-shifting thing. That's a secret thing, but here...brute force may be best and there don't seem to be a lot of shifters around.
That and in Vegas there was this werewolf..]
[Spamish]
[That would be a no.]
I thought that was just in the old-school movies.
[Spamish]
It's not magical. There's no mist. It's pretty ugly but then there's a full-grown wolf standing in front of Ed after a few minutes of slurping and snorting.
For fun, he growls.]
[Spamish]
...Goddamn.
[Ed is most impressed, all wide grin and a short startled laugh. He wasn't expecting that. At all.]
That is so fucking cool. So how do you...?
[He doesn't even know how to START to try. But OH does he want to do that.]
Re: [Spamish]
Focus on the beast.
[You know what he means. The beast, the thing that makes you hungry. Jerry's voice drops dangerously low] Give it voice. Give it form. It doesn't come easy. It takes practice for a lot of people.
[He doesn't expect that the kid will get it at all, but.]
Focus on your anger, and let it lose. Wolves... [And he looks for the first time uncertain. You would have to be a master observer to see it, but he looks unsure.]
You told me you called me a shark once. A wolf would be more accurate.
[Spamish]
[He thinks. He doesn't mean to be contrary, or the irritated whine that accompanies the words, he just thought the instructions would be more specific than "feel it".
But he can work with that, at least, if it's just a matter of finding the right "place". He starts poking at it without waiting for an answer, probing for the small direction he was given. Find the hunger, and what's behind it, latch onto it, become it...Except it's incomplete, it's just like at Vincent's. Bat ears, piranha teeth, and...that's it. You sure that's all there is to it, Jerry?]
Re: [Spamish]
...That is a surprise. And not a welcome one but he ignores it. There's an angry roar as he attacks him.]
Fight back
[He'll shock the wolf out of you dammit.]
[Spamish]
He doesn't need the order though, even if it's Jerry he refuses to just take it. The answer is more shocked snarl than echoing roar, but he lashes out with hooked claws, bares his teeth and meets the attack the best he can. It's hardly on par, but he's determined to at least give it his all, and as he slowly gives up conscious anticipation in favor of raw violence and a refusal to lose, something finally twists.
Ed's...shrinking, Jerry. And getting furrier. Congrats?]
Re: [Spamish]
He waits until he's full turned before shifting-far too quickly before opening the door-shirtless-and shifting himself.]
